Andrii Pavlov (violin) – Professor of the String department at the R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music.

He grew up and was inspired in the family of musicians. After graduating the R.Glier Music College  he completed the education at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine with Professor Vadim Kozin. Also Andrii improved his skills with Gyorgy Pauk, Philip Setzer, Marc Danel, Johannes Meissl, Andrej Bielow and Krzystof Smietana.

As a solo violinist Andrii collaborated with Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony orchestra of Ukraine,   Kyiv Soloists, Lviv Philharmonic, New Era Orchestra, Radio Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Poltava Symphony.  His activities includes solo and chamber  performances at MonteLeon Сhamber Music Festival in Spain, Septembre Musicale in Switzerland, Zeist Music Days and Grachtenfestival in the Netherlands, Randspiele in Germany,  concerts in Italy, Japan, Austria, Denmark, France, Portugal, Poland etc. Andrii has played in such concert venues as Radiokulturhaus in Vienna, UNESCO in Paris, Menuhin Forum in Bern,  Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam, the National Philharmonic in Kyiv and joined the stage in chamber music with Gerard Causse, Valeriy Sokolov, Julian Milkis, Andrej Bielow and Marcin Sieniawski.  

During the last years his constant ensemble partner is pianist Valeriia Shulga. Their duo Sonoro is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions, among them Plovdiv International chamber music competition (Bulgaria, 2017), Salieri-Zinetti International chamber music competition (Italy, 2016), where Andrii was awarded a special prize as the best violinist of the competition ( Il Diploma della Giuria “violinista Al miglior edizione 2016 given by Rotary Club Verona)  Johannes Brahms International competition ( Austria, 2015) and others.

In 2017 Andrii has been awarded the Levko Revutsky prize of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
